The surprise success of Guitar Hero readily led to the development of a sequel for the game. Guitar Hero II introduced new multiplayer modes as well as a practice mode. The 40+ songs that shipped with the game were the actual songs from the artists (Success of GH helped us w licensing here). My Producer responsibilities and work on this project included:

  • Curated and art directed all in-game musical instrument art assets for game.

  • Ran art outsource house pipelines for game. Consistently delivered to product milestones on schedule with high quality.

  • Vetted, negotiated and contracted 15+ external artists for poster inclusion in game. Managed pipeline, delivery and relationships.

  • Researched, negotiated, contracted and cast motion capture actors for game.

  • Voice over actor: tutorial.
